Deadline Approaching: Artist Opportunity Grants (January 2) >>> More Info
Dear Colleagues,
We are reaching out regarding yesterday’s federal Office of Management and Budget (OMB) memo announcing a temporary pause on federal financial assistance, including grants and loans, that takes effect today at 5pm.
While the full implications of this policy are still emerging, we want to assure you that the Delaware Division of the Arts is closely monitoring the situation. We are in communication with our federal Congressional delegation and our partners at the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA), and Americans for the Arts (AFTA) to better understand the scope of this directive and its potential effects on our programs and funding streams. As information becomes available, we will provide updates to keep you informed.
In the meantime, please rest assured that the Division of the Arts is currently operating, grant applications will continue to be accepted, and pending grant payments will continue to be processed.
We appreciate your continued partnership and remain committed to supporting your vital work in the arts community.
As part of his response, Governor Meyer is launching de.gov/federalfunding, an online web portal where Delawareans can let the administration know how they would be affected if this funding freeze is eventually allowed to proceed.
