The following policy applies to all paid registrations for the 2025 Delaware Arts Summit, scheduled for Monday, October 27, 2025, at the Hotel Du Pont in Wilmington, Delaware. By completing a registration, each participant affirms that they have read, understand, accept, and agree to these terms.
Registrants may receive a full refund of the registration fee, minus any non-recoverable processing charges, if a written request is received by Dana Wise at delarts@delaware.gov no later than 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, October 10, 2025. Registrants are responsible for ensuring their request is received. Any request received after that deadline is ineligible for reimbursement. In addition, the Delaware Division of the Arts (Division) will not issue refunds, in whole or part, to individuals who, regardless of the reason, do not attend the event or choose to depart before the program concludes, or who are removed from or requested to leave the premises because of misconduct, violation of venue or Division policies, local ordinances or the law, or behavior deemed by the Division or venue as unsafe, disruptive, or discriminatory.
Should the Division cancel the Summit in its entirety – for example, due to extreme weather, a public health order, or another circumstance beyond the Division’s control – the Division will automatically refund one hundred percent of the registration fee to the original form of payment. If the event is postponed, all registrations will transfer to the new date; however, registrants who cannot attend the rescheduled Summit may request a full refund.
Approved refunds will be processed and credited to the original payment method unless State of Delaware fiscal policy requires an alternative procedure.
The Division allows complimentary attendee (with name) substitutions until 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time, Friday, October 10, 2025, provided the original registrant emails the replacement attendee’s full contact information to and received by Dana Wise at delarts@delaware.gov. After that deadline, any requests for attendee substitution/replacement may be declined at the Division’s sole discretion.
Neither the Division, Department of State nor the State of Delaware shall be liable for any claims, actions, or damages, direct or indirect, regarding performance of obligations or any failure to perform obligations under this policy or with respect to the Summit or venue.
Completion of the registration process constitutes acceptance and agreement of this Refund and Cancellation Policy as may be amended. The Delaware Division of the Arts reserves the right to amend this policy at any time at its sole discretion and will publish any changes on the event registration website and, when practicable, by email to registered attendees.
