Publicly acknowledging your grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, as described below, helps community members understand the impact of public arts funding and the broad range of activities their tax dollars support. In accepting a grant from the Division, you have agreed to provide proper credit. Failure to comply may jeopardize current or future funding.
General Operating Support & StartUp – Use the funding acknowledgment statement and logo throughout the grant year in all print and electronic materials promoting the organization and its activities (including website) and in materials/programs provided to audience/participants. When grantees list organizational donors in their programs/playbills and other materials, the Division should also be listed under the appropriate donor category. When written acknowledgment is not possible, such as when there is no printed program, grantees should provide verbal acknowledgment of the Division’s support prior to the performance or activity, or if an announcement is not feasible, consider a sign in the lobby or exhibition/activity space.
Arts Access & Education Resource – Use the funding acknowledgment statement and logo in all print and electronic materials promoting Division-funded events or activities and in materials/programs provided to audience/participants at these events/activities. When written acknowledgment is not possible, such as when there is no printed program, grantees should provide verbal acknowledgment of the Division’s support prior to the performance or activity, or if an announcement is not feasible, consider a sign in the lobby or exhibition/activity space.
Arts Stabilization Fund – No additional acknowledgment is required since all grantees also receive General Operating Support.
Project Support & Arts Access – Use the funding acknowledgment statement and logo in all print and electronic materials promoting Division-funded events or activities and in materials/programs provided to audience/participants at these events/activities. When written acknowledgment is not possible, such as when there is no printed program, grantees should provide verbal acknowledgment of the Division’s support prior to the performance or activity, or if an announcement is not feasible, consider a sign in the lobby or exhibition/activity space.
Education Resource, Artist Residency & TranspARTation Grants – Use the funding acknowledgment statement and logo in all print and electronic materials promoting Division-funded events or activities (including flyers/notices sent to parents) and in materials/programs provided to audience/participants at these events/activities. When written acknowledgment is not possible, such as when there is no printed program, grantees should provide verbal acknowledgment of the Division’s support prior to the performance or activity, or if an announcement is not feasible, consider a sign in the lobby or exhibition/activity space.
Individual Artist Fellowships & Artist Opportunity Grants – Use the funding acknowledgment statement and logo in all print and electronic materials promoting Division-funded events or activities and in materials/programs provided to audience/participants at these events/activities. When written acknowledgment is not possible, such as when there is no printed program, grantees should provide verbal acknowledgment of the Division’s support prior to the performance or activity, or if an announcement is not feasible, consider a sign in the lobby or exhibition/activity space.
All grant recipients are required to include the following acknowledgment statement in all printed materials (programs, flyers, postcards, playbills, or posters); electronic media (emails, websites, etc.); advertising (print, electronic, and broadcast); news releases; and other material related to Division-funded activities:
Delaware Division of the Arts grants are made possible through funds allocated by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the Delaware General Assembly. Raising the awareness of elected officals about this funding and its impact on your community is essential in order to sustain public support for the great work that you do. The Division of the Arts provides logos below for use by Division grantees. When grant recipients display logos of contributors or sponsors, the Division logo must also be displayed. Download a print-ready logo here.
PLEASE NOTE: Use of this logo and funding acknowledgment statement are reserved explicitly for recipients of Delaware Division of the Arts grants. Use other than in conjunction with Division-sponsored activities is strictly prohibited.
The National Endowment for the Arts provides logos for use by Division grantees. It is recommended, but not required to include the NEA logo.
