This week on Delaware State of the Arts Podcast, Michelle Kramer-Fitzgerald interviews Nanci Hersh, a mixed media visual artist and the executive director of Delaware Institute for the Arts in Education, about her recent series Unmasked: Portraits from the Zoom Room and her upcoming exhibition of the same name. Kramer-Fitzgerald and Hersh discuss the inspiration for the series and what it has meant to Hersh, as well as Hersh’s return to figurative artwork for the first time in 30 years. Tune in to learn which painting was the first in the series, which painting is Hersh’s favorite so far, and the unexpected thing she is already thinking about when it comes time to hang the portraits for the exhibition.
Unmasked: Portraits from the Zoom Room will be on display at The Mill Space in the Nemours Building in Wilmington, DE. Hersh will be present for an artist reception on Wednesday, November 17 from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
