Andy Truscott speaks with Bud Martin, the departing Artistic Director of Delaware Theatre Company, as he prepares to retire after leading the organization for 10 years.

While serving at DTC, Martin tripled the revenue and doubled the subscriptions. He oversaw 10 seasons, directing productions such as, Outside Mullingar, HONK!, Saint Joan, Sanctions, Dare to Be Black, Hetty Feather, White Guy on the Bus, The War of the Roses, The Explorers Club, Putting It Together (with the Delaware Symphony Orchestra), Love Letters, Rest, in Pieces, The Story of My Life, Lend Me a Tenor, and many more.

Before Martin departs, he’ll be directing DTC’s One Man, Two Guvnors, running February 1-19.  Set in 1963 England and delightfully underscored by a live band, ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS is a Tony award-winning comedy that transforms Italian classic Servant of Two Masters into a fast-paced, side-splitting, door-slamming farce. Down on his luck and permanently hungry, Francis finds himself employed by two separate bosses at a party that goes horribly (and hilariously) awry.
