PHOTOSHOOT for SEASON 25-26

First State Ballet Theatre
Up Front on Market
Wilmington
General Operating Support

Founded in 1999 by Artistic Director Pasha Kambalov and Executive Director Kristina Kambalov, First State Ballet Theatre is Delaware’s only professional ballet company, employing 24 talented dancers from around the world to present classical and contemporary ballet on stages across the state and beyond. The School of FSBT, ranked in the top 5% of U.S. ballet academies, offers year-round training at The Grand Opera House in Wilmington and a new satellite school in Whitehall. FSBT’s mission is to present ballet boldly, enrich the community through professional performances, inspire future dancers and audiences, and engage local youth in a creative, inclusive movement experience.

A fan favorite, Up Front on Market offers an intimate evening of dance featuring a mixed bill of highlights from the classical repertoire and new contemporary work. With just 75 seats per performance, the audience sits only feet away from the dancers—close enough to see every detail of their artistry, athleticism, and even the breath between movements. The program blends tradition with innovation. Audiences will enjoy excerpts from the elegant classical ballet Paquita, alongside two world premieres: a trio by Andrea Yorita, a distinguished artist and choreographer who taught at FSBT’s Summer Intensive this year, and a dynamic work for seven men by frequent FSBT collaborator Zachary Kapeluck. Kapeluck, whose past creations for FSBT include A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Sélo, returns with a bold new piece that showcases the strength of the company’s male dancers.

The Children’s Theatre, Inc.
Clue: On Stage, High School Edition
Dover
General Operating Support

The Children’s Theatre, Inc is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year. Since 1995, they have brought stories to life for their audiences through more than 110 theatrical performances in Dover. They are simply amazed at the talent of the youth in our area, and will continue to strive to bring quality, family-friendly entertainment for their community to showcase their student actors.

It’s a dark and stormy night, and you’ve been invited to a very unusual dinner party. Each of the guests has an alias, the butler offers a variety of weapons, and the host is, well, dead. So whodunit? Join the iconic oddballs known as Scarlet, Plum, White, Green, Peacock, and Mustard as they race to find the murderer in Boddy Manor before the body count stacks up. Based on the cult classic film and the popular board game, CLUE is a madcap comedy that will keep you guessing until the final twist. This production is fast-paced and quick-witted, keeping the audience on their toes. The show will be performed Saturday, November 15 at 7pm and Sunday, November 16 at 2pm. Anticipated run time is 90 minutes with a brief intermission. The ticket price is $15 each, which makes this an affordable opportunity to experience live theater.

The cast is composed of 16 youth, ages 12-16. Actors come from as far south as Lewes, as far north as Smyrna, and everywhere in between. There are several local schools represented by the cast members. When they combine their talents, the result is truly amazing to watch! The Children’s Theatre, Inc. primarily relies on volunteers to assist with directing, producing, costumes, sets, publicity, etc. The beautiful downtown Schwartz Center for the Arts venue in downtown Dover adds to the community engagement.
