Capital Ringers
Handbell Concerts
Milford
General Operating Support
Capital Ringers, Inc. seeks to ignite hearts and minds through the power of music. We seek to inspire the community throughout the year in the art of handbell music. Capital Ringers, Inc. is a community handbell ensemble based in Southern Delaware, and has two ringing ensembles (beginner/intermediate and advanced/auditioned). Ringers come from across Southern Delaware and Maryland to rehearse and provide handbell concerts throughout the year for the local communities. Various community members participate behind the scenes to make each of our concert seasons a success. We have a large audience who come out to hear our performances each season at one of our 10-12 yearly concerts. Our concerts are thematic and feature video presentations that go along with each of the selections for the concerts.

Southern Delaware Chorale
Almost, Maine
Rehoboth Beach
General Operating Support
The Southern Delaware Chorale will be presenting “In Her Own Words”, a concert which celebrates female composers, lyricists and performers on May 10, 2025 at Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. For too long in history, female musicians were silenced. From not being able to sing in places of worship in the middle ages to not being given the opportunity to compose in the baroque and classical period, female musicians’ opportunity to create music has been stifled.
On May 10, the Southern Delaware Chorale, under the direction of Joseph Shortall and Sarah Rose, will celebrate female composers with music that spans over a thousand years. During the first set of music, the chorale will perform repertoire from composers long ago (Hildegard von Bingen, Lili Boulanger) through contemporary selections by Elaine Hagenberg, Andrea Ramsey and Rosephanye Powell. The second set of music features music from three living composers, Carol Barnett, B.E Boykin and Carly Simon’s, “Let the River Run.”
The Southern Delaware Chorale serves the Sussex County community with quality classical music with three performances each season. The Chorale will be celebrating their 40th anniversary next December, 2025 and will be performing Handel’s Messiah in collaboration with SODELO. concerts will be held on December 13 and 14, 2025 at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes, DE.
